Asian Team Tryouts?

Asian Team Tryouts?
Hey, I was just wondering, I played Division-1 baseball here in the States and was wondering how I can get a tryout to play in in the China Professional League. I have an 85 mph fastball. Is that good enough?

Well, I'd recommend getting an agent with ties to China. There has been very little information about the mainland China league (CPL), though, that it may be hard to find.

Taiwan (CPBL - Chinese Professional Baseball League) seems to do most of their recruiting in Central and South America. At least, the Mexican League is referenced a great deal as being where many of the players are moving over from.

Still, your best bet in getting into Asia is to have an agent that understands Asia. Self introductions are difficult at best.

As long as you have good location and you can throw strikes with that. Have you ever played in the independent leagues or any other professional league?

Have you heard of the Global Scouting Bureau? I see that this agency has helped players like Steve Rain, Julio Parra, Raul Rodarte, etc. find jobs in Taiwan, China, etc.
