Kuo Hong-chih in Major Leagues

Kuo Hong-chih in Major Leagues
24 year old left hander Kuo Hong-chih recently made his Major League debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He didn't have a good outing, however, as he surrendered two earned runs in 1/3 of an inning, walking two batters.

With the Double-A Jacksonville Suns, Kuo had a 1.91 ERA in 28.1 innings with 44 strikeouts. An interesting note is that he was the first high school player out of Taiwan to sign a professional contract in the United States when he inked with the Dodgers in 1999. I can see why. Kuo boasts a 97 mph fastball and a devastating curveball.
