This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

8. Tips
--------
To get the most speed out of a base runner, repeatedly press L1, L2, R1, and R2.
This is crucial for stealing bases, getting infield hits, and sac flies.
Hold up with L2 and R2 in order to perform a slide to break up the double play.
After catching the third out with an outfielder, press square and triangle to
throw the ball into the leftfield stands. Press circle and triangle to throw
to the rightfield stands.
Press triangle right before catching a fly ball to perform the Shinjo hop.
On higher difficulty levels, it's crucial to mix up your pitches. Throw inside,
outside, high, and low. Mix up fastballs with breaking balls. Vary your first
pitches. Don't always go for strike outs early or late in counts. Everything
should be varied. You should also be aiming to get perfect release timing on every pitch
you throw. If you find yourself not being able to hit perfect release timing, use
the rosin bag when you have to. If you still have trouble, spend some time training
or play on lower difficulty.
Try to avoid swinging at pitches early in the count that aren't fat pitches. Japanese
pitchers pride themselves on their stamina, so you should try and get them to throw
as many pitches as possible.
