Chiba to Hold Spring Training in Australia
The Chiba Lotte Marines said they will hold their spring training camp in Geelong, Australia before moving to their traditional camp in Kagoshima, South-West Japan. This announcement came as the Marines were looking for a warmer place that can give Chiba easy access to training facilities during the spring camp period.

Chiba Lotte will be the third team to have their spring camp in Australia, after the Chunichi Dragons and the Daiei Hawks (now the Softbank Hawks).
