Orix releases Parra
The Orix Buffaloes released pitcher Jose Parra. Parra went 4 and 2 with a 4.09 ERA in 8 games/7 starts. Parra had injury problems which led to his release.

Orix GM Katsuhiro Nakamura said about Parra:
"The team is fighting for a playoff spot, but chances are low he'll be able to throw before September. Doctors say he could aggravate the injury."
