Ivan Cruz Feeling At Home

"As predicted, Ivan Cruz is making an impact with the Tigers. Now that he is getting a chance to play (unlike his stints with the Yankees and Pirates), he can settle in comfortably and produce, produce, produce. He's a quality guy and good friend. With him feeling at home, I expect him to continue making a positive impression on the Tigers and the rest of the league. Can anyone tell my how he is being received by the fans? He is kinda shy (except on the field). I hope everyone is helping him feel at home.

In pre-season games, he tore up opposing pitchers as was herald as the second comming of (Randy) Bass.  Once the season started, though, it was out or home run.  Three of his first four hits were home runs during the first two series' the Tigers played.

As for how is he being treated?  Well, he was the featured player on the Tigers' Official Site (Japanese only) a few days ago.

There's an article in the Japan Times today about the Tigers, including some nice quotes from Ivan.
