2002 Final Attendence
The Central League has rebounded this year with a 3.5% increase while the Pacific League had a decrease of 4.1% from 2001. Because the Central League weighs so much higher, that's a 3.7% increase overall for Pro Yakyu from 2001.

Here is the raw data direct from Nikkan Sports' October 18 (CL) and 19 (PL) issues:

Hanshin's big start really boosted the Central League's attendence. Kintetsu's inability to repeat with the pennant and Rhodes' mid-season home run slump combined with Osakans returning to Koshien was the big killer in the Pacific League.

Well, since the CL had an increase again, perhaps we won't have the doom and gloom articles this off season like last. Oh, yea, they won't be avoidable if Godzilla goes to New York.
