Buffaloes to Ask Ohgi-kantoku to Stay
The Orix Buffaloes have asked manager Akira Ohgi to continue as manager. Club executive Takashi Koizumi said, "From the top to the bottom of our organization, we share the view that Mr. Ohgi is the ideal person for the manager on our team next year." [Full Story - Japan Ball]

Ohgi was hired because of his experience with both the Orix BlueWave and Kintetsu Buffaloes, he has been praised for his great peformance this year.

Ohgi schudeled a meeting with the owners and is expected to step down as manager. The Orix Buffaloes have stated that they would like Ohgi to stay, but he cited health problems as the main reason for stepping down. [Full Story - Daily Yomiuri]
