This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

What an exciting player he was. I still remember him mowing over a Giants' catcher on a close play at home plate early in the 1992 season. He still had the class to ask the catcher if he was OK after the catcher went down hard.
There was another play where he was going from first to third on a single to right field and he saw that the throw was a high, bouncy one and he literally dove about 5 feet in the air (so the ball would hit him, which it did) before landing headfirst into third base.
Brown hustled like Pete Rose. He didn't have Rose's ability, but he sure played every game like it was his last game.
