Yomiuri to Release Two
The Yomiuri Giants plan on releasing IF's Daisuke Motoki and Koji Gotoh at season end. [Original Article - Daily Yomiuri]

Motoki batted .317 (32 for 101) with 0 HRs and 8 RBI this year. Gotoh batted .000 (0 for 2) with 0 HRs and 0 RBIs this season. Gotoh spent the majority of the year at ni-gun. [Giants 2005 Stats - Borisov's Pro Yakyu]

Wow. This surprises me, because they've been such fixtures for the Giants for a long time. I guess they really are going to go in a younger direction. They must've paid attention to what Lotte's been doing this year.
