Fighters Re-sign Shinjo
The Nippon Ham Fighters reached a agreement on a 1 year contract extension with Shinjo. Shinjo batted .239 with 20 HRs and 57 RBI in 108 games, missing some time with a hand injury. [Full Story - Japan Ball]

Shinjo was re-signed to a 1 year deal worth 220 million (2.2-oku) yen. [Full Story - Japan Ball]

Yikes, they don't seem like 2.2-oku numbers, but I guess he draws fans and media attention, so that must be part of his pay.
