Orix Re-Signs Tani
The Orix Buffaloes re-signed OF Yoshitomo Tani to a 1 year 280 million (2.8-oku) yen contract (along with performance incentives). Tani declined a multiyear deal, and his base salary will be down 10 million (1,000-man) yen from last year. [Full Story - Japan Ball]

Tani hit .248 with 6 HRs and 36 RBIs in 111 games.

Those are just flat-out horrendous numbers. Was he injured during the season?

Tani had a rib injury this year.
