Bun-Bun Maru - Rakuten's Batting Coach
Rakuten announced that they've hired former Yakult Swallows infielder Takahiro Ikeyama as a new batting coach. However, Rakuten still has not announced whether Ikeyama will be coaching for the top team or the farm team.

Ikeyama played for the Swallows for 19 years, accumulating 304 HRs, and played under new manager Katsuya Nomura for 9 years in the 1990s. [Original article from Nikkan Sports (in Japanese)]

On December 2nd Rakuten officially announced that Ikeyama will be the top team's batting coach for the 2006 season.
