Giants Re-Sign Kudoh
The Yomiuri Giants re-signed pitcher Kimayasu Kudoh to a one year deal worth 290 million yen (unchanged from last year). Kudoh, who turns 43 next May, says he still envisions playing in the major leagues in the future. [Full Story - Japan Ball]

He had the most wins of all the Giants' bull pen last season. I hope he can play on for a few more seasons. I doubt he will ever enter the majors. I highly doubt that a major league team would bother with a 43-44 year old foreign pitcher.

Kudoh is on the cusp of being done. If he had any intentions of playing in MLB, 2006 would have been the year to do it. I think that window is all but closed for him now unless he thinks of himself as Japan's answer to Satchel Paige.
