Mac Suzuki

Discussion in the NPB News forum
Mac Suzuki
Mac Suzuki has signed a one year deal with the Orix Blue Wave of the Pacific League. Suzuki was never a good player in the big leagues, and I believe signed with the Kansas City Royals right out of either high school or college. So why is he not bound to the playing 9 or 10 years for Orix? Why can he sign only a one year deal? Suzuki, 27, was 16-31 with a 5.72 ERA in six major league seasons. He also spent some time in the minors.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
