WBC: Kuroda Injured, Kubota In
Hiroshima Carp starting pitcher Hiroki Kuroda pulled out of the WBC after suffering an injury to his index finger on his throwing hand. This is the first injury related to the WBC.

Hanshin Tigers closer Tomoyuki Kubota will replace Kuroda on the roster. It's bad that Kuroda got injured, but good that Kubota got a chance. Kubota went 5-4 with 27 SVs and a 2.12 ERA in 68 games with Hanshin last year. [Full MLB.com Article]
