Yomiuri to Sign Wu
Tuesday, the Giants announced they reached an agreement with the Beijing Tigers of the Chinese Baseball League (CBL) to acquire pitcher Wu Meng. Yomiuri has had a working agreement with the Tigers since 2003, and already have contracts with Chinese players An Xiu and Cui Xiao.

Meng has an aresnal of a sidearm fastball and a curveball.

I know Wu's Chinese, but aren't An and Choi Korean? The Beijing Tigers field a team with mainly Korean players.

Though Choi is Korean, Cui is Chinese if I'm not mistaken, and I'm almost postive of the same thing with An Xiu. Isn't Xiu a Chinese surname?

Chinese readings of Korean names? Japanese and Chinese names are read using local readings (sort of similar to European languages, I hear).
