Marty Brown Ejected

Discussion in the NPB News forum
Marty Brown Ejected
In yesterday's game with Chunichi Dragons, Hiroshima's manager, Marty Brown, was thrown out of the game. He argued a double play situation with the umpire who had ruled a Chunichi runner safe. Nothing happened so Brown picked up the first base and threw it away. He was then ejected, but not before doffing his cap and bowing. Hiroshima went on to win the game.

Here is a link to the video [You Tube]. I actually thought the umpire got the call right, but it was fun to see Brown chuck the base and then bow.

If anything, it's nice to know he does a good Lou Pinniella impression.

Marty Brown is pretty impressive. He's trying to fire up this perennial losing team that he believes in. He's also trying to fire up these fans who are so used to seeing this team lose. I hope they give him a couple more years to undo all the damage Yamamoto set up.
