Seattle/Oakland Flights on Hold
At 1:56pm PST on March 18, 2003 MLB.com [Link] announced that the Athletics and Mariners' scheduled flights to Japan have been put on hold. Bud Selig said he will make a decision within 24 to 48 hours about the games in Japan. Seattle area TV and Radio is abuzz with this situation caused by the "Iraq war."
