"Breaking" News: Kubota
Kansai-based TV programme Chichin Puipui has just reported that Hanshin Tigers' closer Tomoyuki Kubota has broken his arm.

Apparently he rushed to catch his infant daughter who was about to fall out of her pram, and struck his arm hard on the ground.

Kubota has been removed from the active roster.

Fujikawa will step in as the closer for now until Kubota's back.

Sounds like the best save he's recorded all year.

Well, I wish Kubota a quick recovery, but I for one feel a little better with Fujikawa in the closer position. He's been pretty unhittable this year.

We're gonna miss Kubota's Hanshin Tigers reggae song when he comes out, but how awesome is Fujikawa's theme? I laughed when I first heard it, but it really works for him. There's something scary about a pitcher with a 0.20 ERA who comes out to the poppiest J-Pop song ever. The fans love it, too.
