This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Andy Sheets was ejected in the second inning after drilling his bat into the ground and flinging his helmet halfway to first base. He had just been called out on a check-swing strike three by the first-base umpire. Obviously, I wasn't standing on first base, but I was in the first row of the right field stands and had a pretty good angle on the play. I was pretty confident that he did not go around completely. Regardless, the umpire announced the ejection for "throwing his bat and helmet at me" and he was replaced in the lineup with Kataoka.
The Dragons held a 1-0 lead from Tyrone Woods homer until the 6th when Hamanaka knocked in Fujimoto. Then, in the 7th, an odd play when the Dragons' player Fujii was called out at the plate for interference for getting in the way of an attempted throw to second base as Inoue attempted to steal. The next batter, Tanishige, hit a two-run shot, giving the Dragons the three runs they would need to win.
The Tigers had scoring opportunities that looked great in both the 8th and 9th, but failed to convert either of them, except for one run in the 8th, but it was not enough. The Tigers lost 4-2.
The Tigers now head back to Koshien stadium to take on the Giants in a three-game series. The forecast for the first game is rain, so hopefully it will hold out long enough to have a game.
