Tuffy Rhodes' Suspended For Assault on Aoki
The May 23, 2003 Daily Yomiuri [Link] describes that Tuffy Rhodes' assault on Seibu Lions' pitcher Hayato Aoki at the Osaka Dome as "excessively violent." Aoki injured his neck and right ankle when Tuffy knocked him over with a tackle in Wednesday's game.

Rhodes was suspended for two games after shoving Aoki, after the Lions' pitcher hit Norhiro Nakamura with a pitch. Aoki is expected to be unable to play for one week with a sprained neck vertebrae.

Everyone can tell why he did that. He is always stressed by how other teams pitch around him instead face him like a man.

Imagine, if you played in Taiwan, and you are in that situation, you would do that.

Do fights break out in Japanese baseball much? The only one I've seen was the one when Balvino Galvez tried to throw a baseball at an umpire a few years back when it was appear on ESPN. Galvez should've been banned from NPB for that.
