This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Hideki Irabu of the Hanshin Tigers became the Central League's pitcher of the month after going 3-1 with an ERA of 1.46 in May. Irabu is 6-1 with a 2.34 ERA for 2003.
Yokohama BayStars' slugger Tyrone Woods was named CL position player of the month due to his 10 home runs and 23 RBIs for May. Woods leads the Central League with 18 home runs.
Daisuke Matsuzaka of the Seibu Lions was the Pacific League pitcher of the month with a 3-0 record in May.
Michihiro Ogasawara of the Nippon Ham Fighters became the PL position player of the month with a .413 batting average and 22 RBIs in May.
