Hawks Sign Buchanan
The Softbank Hawks have come to terms [St.Paul Pioneer Press] with former major league outfielder Brian Buchanan [Baseball-Reference] who played with the St.Paul Saints of the independent American Association.

Buchanan was traveling with the Saints' team that traveled to Japan in a exhibition series against the Shikoku Island League all-star team, the semi-pro Miyazaki Golden Golds, the Saga Spirit, and Fukuoka Blossom.

Buchanan has a career .258 average with 32 HRs and 103 RBI. He batted .292 with 11 HRs and 48 RBI in 48 games with the Saints this year.
