Tigers No 29
Kei Igawa's old number 29 has already been re-allocated. It's gone to the new signing Kojima.

He looks good in it!

I'm surprised that they reassigned it so quickly, though maybe it's to make a statement to either Igawa or Kojima or both.

Seibu didn't re-assign #18 immediately, though maybe that's just because they don't have a "replacement" in this draft class for him. Of the interesting new player numbers [Lions official site], Takayuki Kishi is getting Shinji Mori's old #11, and Jun Yamamoto is getting Kiyoshi Toyoda's old #20, both of which were empty this year.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
