This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Cabrera said, "I've decided to stay another two years. The Lions are the team that gave me a chance, and I'm very happy to be able to play another two years." (Translation of translation. YMMV.) Tsutsumi-owner added, "I'm extreamly pleased. And I think that that the fans have the most to chear about." (Figurative translation, not literal.)
Cabrera has made it clear that he wants to participate in the Carabean League over the winter, and will most likely report to camp after February 20. Details of Cabu-chan's chance to play for Venezuala in the upcoming Athena Olympics is yet to be discusses.
Nonetheless, I've never heard of a multi-year deal for a foreign player before. Is this a first? If there's a first, there's bound to be a second (Rhodes?).
