Beer Shower with Fans

Beer Shower with Fans
At a talk show in Tokorozawa, Saitama, the Seibu Lions' manager, Tsutomu Itoh, said that he'd like the fans to join in on the victory beer shower after the Lions win the pennant in 2007. He recognizes that it'd be difficult to let the fans into the meeting place, but hopes that something can be worked out if they clinch at home.

In the same article, it was announced that catcher Ginjiro Sumitani will be registering his name as Ginjiro for 2007.

Also, outfielder Shogo Akada said that he plans on signing when he meets with team officials for his fourth contract negotiations this coming Friday (January 5).

About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
