More Gyroball Mumbo Jumbo
Now you know the whole gyroball thing is getting out of hand when the New York Times publishes an article about it.

Matsuzaka, as always, is being coy about the "demon miracle pitch" as can be seen by his comments in this article [MLB.com]. Man, he's good.

For all you Newtonian physics fans, the great Professor Alan Nathan at the the Univeristy of Chicago has some scientific info on the ball on his website.

Personally, it looks just like a hard slider to me, but I think it's fantastic that there's an urban legend out there in baseball on par with cow tipping.

About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
