Baseball History in the Far East

Baseball History in the Far East
Jim Allen has an article up at ABC Channel 7 in Chicago entitled "Allen: Baseball has a long history in the Far East." For most of you, a more proper title might be "Jim Allen's Medley to Far East Baseball" as it is a collage of several other Jim Allen articles woven into one. I think that if he weren't artificially limited by space constraints of the physical Daily Yomiuri newspaper that more of his articles would be comprehensive like this one.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
