Pro Yakyu Live! March 29, 2007
Sorry about yesterday. I had installed the necessary software on the new machine, but hadn't set it up. I did broadcast the last few innings last night (as a test), so I know that everything is now setup properly. I'm ready for the first Pro Yakyu Live! broadcast this evening at around 6:00pm JST here (or click the "Live!" link at the top).

I plan on broadcasting the Nippon Ham vs. Orix game again this evening, with Sweeny facing Serafini. However, Koshien star Tanaka (Rakuten) is throwing against Guttormson (Softbank) in Fukuoka, and I'm open to switching to that game if there's interest.

Hope you all can tune in live!

The broadcast went off without a hitch tonight. The Buffaloes looked every bit as good as the Buff's fan has been claiming in the Pacific League Predictions thread. Rhodes hit a pair of solo shots, LaRocca increased his streak to three consecutive games with a homer, and Shimoyama hit a solo shot as well. Ohbiki broke his 0 for 11 streak with a long ball that was grabbed by a fan reaching over the fence, having his grand slam called a grounds rule double. (That was the correct call, by the way. Good job by the umpiring crew.)

The Fighters' bull pen looks like it's in trouble. Sunaga couldn't buy an out.

If you'd like to listen to the complete game, taking just under three hours, it's available here [42MB MP3]. I hope you enjoy the game, and look forward to next week's Pro Yakyu Live!

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
