This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

The BayStars gave Nasano a 4.5-oku yen ($4.2 million) signing bonus, way over the maximum legal amount of 1-oku yen ($800,000). The BayStars drafted Nasano in 2004.

Garland-san points out more over at Japan Baseball Daily in his April 10th Central League report. It was reported that the BayStars gave Nasuno's head coach at Nihon University around 3,000-man yen ($250,000). The BayStars have already admitted to the payments.
