Softbank Signs Standridge

Discussion in the NPB News forum
Softbank Signs Standridge
The Softbank Hawks signed pitcher Jason Standridge [Baseball Reference] to a one year contract [Japan Ball] worth 30 million yen.

Standridge is expected to be a middle reliever for the Hawks. He went 0-1 with a 8.22 ERA for the Kansas City Royals this year. In Standridge's 7 year major league career, he's 3-9 with a 5.80 ERA in 80 games.

I guess SoftBank has really gotten desperate. The way the bullpen couldn't hold Yokohama today is indicative of their recent struggles. It's tough to watch.
