Discussion in the NPB News forum
2007 Transactions
I was recently asked (off-line) for all of the inter-team transaction that have occurred since the beginning of the season. To that end, I went through the official records at NPB-BIS and came up with the following, with additional comments according to my observations.

Trades:
3/23 HNHF -> HT Itsuki Shohda (just before season started)
3/23 HT -> HNHF Takehito Kanazawa (just before season started)
4/ 3 CLM -> OBs Kosuke Katoh (no ichi-gun games in 2007)
5/21 HC -> HT Shinsuke Yamada (played in 4 games, all with HC)
5/21 HT -> HC Goh Kida (first game played this season was 5/22 - after trade)
6/28 OBs -> HNHF Jun Hagawara (no ichi-gun games in 2007)
6/28 OBs -> HNHF Tatsuo Katoh (no ichi-gun games in 2007)
6/28 HNHF -> OBs Akio Shimizu (no ichi-gun games in 2007)
6/28 HNHF -> OBs Kuniyuki Kimoto (all 18 games so far played before 6/20)
6/29 OBs -> CLM Masato Yoshii (thrown in 10 games with OBs, 7/5 first start for CLM)
6/29 CLM -> OBs Koji Hirashita (all 5 games played for CLM between 5/20 and 5/28)

New Players:
4/23 YG Tetsuya Yamaguchi (moved from Development)
5/18 YG Geremi Gonzalez (registered at GG)
6/11 TYS Brian Sikorski
6/15 FSH Jason Standridge
6/20 HC Alex Ochoa
6/26 YBS Matt White
6/26 CLM Jose Ortiz
6/27 CD Rafael Cruz (moved from Development)
6/27 HNHF Mitch Jones
6/27 TRGE Adam Bass
6/27 TRGE Domingo Guzman
6/29 YG Wirfin Obispo (also seen his first name spelt Wilfin)
6/29 HC Esmailin Caridad (moved from Development)

Released Players:
6/14 CD Joe Valentine

Other Adjustments:
6/28 CD Akihiro Kanemoto converted from pitcher to infielder

I've updated the information for Yoshii to be up to date as of today (July 5, 2007), but the rest of the information above applies to going into play on July 4, 2007.

I hope that some of you find this information useful.
