Cabrera Breaks Right Forearm

Discussion in the NPB News forum
Cabrera Breaks Right Forearm
Seibu Lions' first baseman Alex Cabrera broke his right forearm Tuesday and will need at least six weeks to recover. This is very bad news for the already struggling Lions who lost most of its preseason games.

Cabrera suffered the injury in Tuesday's 4-2 pre-season loss to the Kintetsu Buffaloes at Seibu Dome when he was hit by a pitch from Hiroki Yamamura in his first at-bat.

The Seibu Lions are now looking for a new gaijin slugger to replace Alex Cabrera. I wonder if they will succeed and if the replacement will be as good as Cabrera.

Any suggestions on who the Lions could contract?
