Giants, Fighters Swap Pitchers
The Yomiuri Giants and the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters swapped a veteran pitcher for a youngster on Wednesday.

37 year old left hander Yasuyuki Kawamoto will be heading to the Fighters in exchange for 29 year old right hander Hayato Nakamura. Kawamoto is in the tail end of his career as he has spent the 2004 season with the farm team. Mainly a reliever, Kawamoto has pitched in 410 career games with a 33-40 record, 95 saves, and a 3.43 ERA in 12 first-team seasons. Meanwhile, Nakamura has pitched in 40 career games (35 starts, 243.2 innings) with a 4.36 ERA and a 13-17 record.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
