Discussion in the NPB News forum
May MVPs
Since we're approaching the middle of June now, I was wondering if the monthly MVPs for May had been announced.

Thanks for any help.

Yes, it was announced. As pointed out in another thread, Kintetsu's Iwakuma won for the second month in a row as the Pacific League May pitching MVP. He was 4 and 0 for the month with a 1.60 ERA throwing 4 complete games.

Daiei's Matsunaka took the batting MVP for May in the Pacific League, batting .377 with 8 home runs and 22 RBIs.

Two Dragons won in the Central League. Kawakami pitched to a 2.04 ERA for a 3 and 2 record with one shutout.

Team mate Tatsunami hit .412 in May with 35 hits and 12 RBIs.
