First of all, Tanishige didn't get a hit his first at bat that inning, he was hit on the right forearm with the pitch. So it was only 6 consecutive hits before Komiyama K'ed for the first out.
Speaking of which, Komi-chan struck out for a second time to end the inning. That was right when a couple of kids needed to go to bed, so I was kind of preoccupied at the moment and missed that part. I did see the run come in on Tanishige's single to center for the 13th run of the inning just before that, though.
Nikkan Sports added the following history making fact to the above data: It was the first time in Pro Yakyu history that a team scored 13 runs in a single inning without the aid of a home run. Hanshin did it with one homer, the Giants with two, and Yakult with three dingers.

Starting with No.2 batter, Haru, the BayStars got 7 consecutive hits before pitcher Komiyama struck out looking at a border-line pitch for the first out of the inning. The second half of the bottom of the 5th saw an error and a balk, along with Rose's second RBI double of the inning. In the end, 13 runs came across the plate, tying three other teams for the Japan record of most runs in an inning. The other teams were:
That made the score 16-3 at the end of five innings. But don't relax there. Hiroshima came back with 5 runs in the 7th, chasing Komi-chan. Then they added another run in the 8th to make the score 16-9. "It ain't ova' 'til it's ova'."

Update: That turned out to be the final, 16-9. The hero of the game was Haru, who, after a couple of weeks out with an injury, had three hits and three RBI's, including a home run in the first inning. Gambare, Haru!
