This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

First of all, Hoshino-kantoku's punishment was not enough. He should have gotten more.
So far as May is concerned, for a starting pitcher, 10 days is equivilent to a 1 game suspension. What he did was totally uncalled for, and down right stupid. Sure, Wada was annoying, stepping out of the batter's box three times in one at bat.
But to throw at him is not the way to solve the problem. Appealing to the umpire to give him a warning would have been more appropriate. Speeding up the game is important to the umpire crew, point out that Wada is obstructing the game.
I find idiots who smoke on the train platforms extreamly annoying, often right in front of "No Smoking" signs. Should I bang them over the head with my newspaper until they understand that they shouldn't smoke there? No. I do point out the "No Smoking" sign, and more often then not, they stamp out their stinking cancer sticks. (I'd probably be shot if I did that in the States.)
The point is, though, that resorting to violence isn't necessary. I can't think of any reason to defend May. If you can, feel free to hit "Reply" below.
