This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

This afternoon at Yokohama Stadium sees Glynn's fate continue. Glynn threw 7 good innings. Sure, he allowed a few base runners, but never really any real threats. One mis-placed pitch saw Wada park the ball into the right field bleachers for a 2-run home run, but that was it. 2 runs over 7 innings, and Glynn did his part with his second Quality Start of the season.
The BayStars' bats, on the other hand, couldn't get anything going against Chen through the first 6 innings. That is to say, Chen threw 6 perfect innings against Yokohama. Leading off the bottom of the 7th inning, Ishikawa lined the ball into left field to become the first BayStars base runner of the afternoon. A sacrifice bunt got him to second, but no further.
The bottom of the 8th saw a pair of lead-off hits put runners at the corners with nobody out. While we later loaded the bases with two down, home plate was as far away as ever and Yokohama came out scoreless.
Runners at the corners with one out in the 9th saw a game ending double play end our hope of getting out of last place. (Yokohama was 1-half game behind the Dragons going into the game.) It doesn't look like Glynn can buy a run when he pitches well. Here is a list of Glynn's starts so far this season:
Here are the photos that I took during the game. I hope you enjoy them.
