Tigers v Buffaloes - At last a win

Tigers v Buffaloes - At last a win
The last open sen (March 29) game produced a victory for the Tigers. It was a game in which batters scattered hits around like mad with very little to show for it. Buffaloes had 8 hits, Tigers had 9 and the score was 2-1 to Tigers. Tigers scored in their first innings with a timely hit to Toritani. This was followed by a scoring hit by Katsuragi in the fourth. The score remained quiet until the eighth when Gotoh drove a run in.
Tigers starting pitcher was Shimoyanagi who was a lot better this time. He was followed after three innings by Fujikawa who was very smooth. Fukuhara pitched four innings next and gave up the run.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
