Inter-league uniforms

Discussion in the Tiger Tails forum
Inter-league uniforms
Tigers Inter-league uniforms have been announced and they are the 1985 version. Modelled by Nohmi (home) and Kubo (away) they are very classical in style and attractive.

Kubota is also scheduled to return for the Inter-league and one hopes he is fully recovered.

I prefer the 85 home uniforms over the ones they use now which I also like. The 85 home unis are so classical that they never go out of style.

Hanshin have been using some really ugly inter league unis in the past though.

Definitely much better uniforms this year. Didn't they have shades of blue in them in a previous year? Pretty ugly.
When Kubota comes back is he still projected as a starter? Or will they start him in relief? Also, what's the deal with Resop? I'm surprised they brought him back, but is he just pitching on 2-gun now? Or injured? Will he be brought up now that Kyuji is out?

This is the description for last years inter-league uniforms

The home uniform is based on the current one but the stripes fade out towards the bottom of the trousers. They also fade out around the logo and number. The logo reads 'Tigers' and is black with white lining. Behind is a roughly sprayed yellow background which highlights the name. The player's number is also on the front also with the sprayed effect. The back shows a similar effect on both the number and name - with the yellow spray highlight as well. The batting helmet ventilation holes are outlined in yellow. The cap and helmet logo is a white T and yellow H.

The away uniform is grey with black and white stripes (the black stripe being over a broader white stripe). Once again the fading effect is used for the bottom of the trousers but this time also around the neck and waist. The logo 'Hanshin' is printed in white with black lining on the chest along with the player number. Both are highlighted in sprayed yellow. This effect is repeated for the player's name and number on the back. The batting helmet and cap both have a grey peak with holes outlined in grey. The cap and helmet logo is a white T and grey H.

Resop had potential (lots of it) and he's currently working in ni-gun. Iwata is due back soon to join the rotation so its likely that Kubota will go back into the relief but you never know. Also there are plans to bring Kojima up as well and of course we have Uezono. Daiyu Kanemura and Egusa are currently most likely to be used to cover Fujikawa.

You mentioned Resop and that he had potential. He is still with the Tigers? Does he have a chance to come up this season or do Tigers want him to stay down to work. Also is he a starter or bullpen now?

Yes Resop is still with the Tigers. He will probably be brought up sometime this season. Maybe after inter-league.
