Returning the complement
Tigers after being shut out the day before then managed to shut out the Buffaloes on the back of a strong start by Messenger. Kyuji pitched two innings in relief but the save actually went to Kubota who pitched the ninth. Runs came from Itoh (a sacrifice ground out) and Lin and Nohara. The only other incident of note was that Shunsuke took a blow on his helmet and had to leave the game. He was later judged OK.
