This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Tigers’ Murton has 2 2Bs, Arai takes over RBI lead
Matt Murton dumped a go-ahead bases-clearing double into right in the sixth inning and added another two-bagger, while Takahiro Arai had an RBI to move three ahead of the closest Central League rival as the Hanshin Tigers downed the Yokohama BayStars 4-2 on Friday.
Murton upped his average to .312, moving to within three points of CL leader Hisayoshi Chono of the Yomiuri Giants, while Arai has 91 RBIs.
Murton said he would like to play in the bigs but also enjoys playing for the Tigers. He said he’d be playing where the good Lord takes him next season.
Hanshin rookie reliever Daiki Enokida made his 61st appearance, surpassing Kazunori Nishimura’s team record for first-year hurlers.
Yokohama’s Shinji Ohara pitched in his 70th game, breaking the CL record and matching SoftBank’s Tadashi Settsu’s NPB mark for appearances by a rookie in a season.
