This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

The old record was shared by the legendary Enatsu (Hanshin) in 1968 and Kida (Nippon Ham) in 1980.
Seibu managed to keep at least one up over the home team Marines to improve Chang's record to 7 and 1. Chang still dosn't have enough innings on the mound to show up with the leaders, but the number one strike out leader in the Pacific League is team mate Nishiguchi, who has struck out 130 in 128 2/3 innings (SO% of 9.09 per 9 innings). Checking NPB-BIS and adding last night's performance, Chang has struck out 86 in 67 2/3 innings for a 1.27 K per 9 innings average. Chang's 2.00 ERA would also place him on top, if he had more innings under his belt. (He's currently 26 1/3 innings short. It'll be hard to make up for the time he missed at the beginning of the season. But as Yokohama's Kinjyoh showed a few years ago in batting, not impossible.)
