I'll take "Americans" to mean "foreign players" and try to put something together. This is unofficial, as I may miss some foreign players who have their names registered in Kanji. And, yes, I know that Oh is considered Taiwanese by many, but he's officially Japanese.

Career:
  1. 288* Tuffy Rhodes (Kintetsu/Giants)
  2. 283 Leron Lee (Lotte)
  3. 277 Boomer Wells (Daiei)
  4. 268 Leon Lee (Yakult)
  5. 259 Ralph Bryant (Kintetsu)
  6. 246 Clarence Jones (Kintetsu)
  7. 232 Bobby Marcano (Yakult)
  8. 218 John Sipin (Giants)
  9. 205 George Altman (Hanshin)
  10. 202 Randy Bass (Hanshin)

* As of end of 2003 and continuing.

Yearly:

  1. 55 Tuffy Rhodes (2001 - Kintetsu)
  2. 55 Alex Cabrera (2002 - Seibu)
  3. 54 Randy Bass (1985 - Hanshin)
  4. 51 Tuffy Rhodes (2003 - Kintetsu)
  5. 50 Alex Cabrera (2003 - Seibu)
  6. 49 Ralph Bryant (1989 - Kintetsu)
  7. 49 Alex Cabrera (2001 - Seibu)
  8. 48 Charles Manuel (1980 - Hanshin)
  9. 47 Randy Bass (1986 - Hanshin)
  10. 46 Tuffy Rhodes (2002 - Kintetsu)

Again, I'm not sure that this includes all foreign players as there's no distinguishing record/field marking them as such.

2. Leron Lee 283
3. Boomer Wells 277
4. Leon Lee 268
5. Ralph Bryant 259
6. Clarence Jones 246
7. Bobby Marcano 232
8. George Altman 205
9. Randy Bass 202
10. Roberto Petagine 194 (active)

Single season:

1. Tuffy Rhodes, 2001 55
1. Alex Cabrera, 2002 55 (tie)
3. Randy Bass, 1984 54
4. Tuffy Rhodes, 2003 51

It may not be perfect, but it should be close to the mark. Hope this helps.

I see I missed Sipin. Petagine is right around his mark at this moment.
