- I understand that he has played some catcher and second base. Could that account for 26 errors between '98 and '99?
Actually, it was short and second. And it does look like that period of playing infield and outfield hurt his defense. Still, he was ranked 11th in fielding percentage in 2001 and took the Golden Glove. I wonder how much popularity played in that.
