Japanese Pro Baseball videogames?
Does anyone play these?
The only one I've played is Konami's Power Pro series (aka big head baseball).

the two others I know of are Konami's Pro Baseball series (normal players, no big heads) and Square's baseball games (I think the newest one came out in Japan. It features some MLB teams too).

Yes, or at least I do. There are a bunch of different Japanese Pro Baseball games, most are for SNES/SuperFamicom. These include "Power Pro Baseball," "Pro Yakyu Star," "Super Harasuta," etc. The best thing about these games is they are free to download from emulation sites. Most of these games have decent graphics (for Super Nintendo) so they are worth the time.

I also have a couple for N64. They are "Power League," and "Power Pro 2000." "Power League" has the best graphics, bar none, with "relistic" visuals and great stadiums.

I play all the games on my computer using emulation programs.

Yes, or at least I do. I have been pieceing together most of the games the past few months. Most of them are for the Super Nintendo/ Super Famicom. These include "Powerful Pro Baseball" series, "Pro Yakyu Superstar," "Super Harasuta," etc. The best thing about these and most Super Nintendo games is that they are totaly free to download if you can find them on the emulation sites (which is difficult). And I have two N64 Japanese baseball games, the first is "Powerful Pro Baseball 2000," and "Power League." "Power League" is more relistic than any I've played, with detailed 3D Statiums and decent player models. Both of those games are hard to find, so if you want a few, let me know and I could send you the games in a e-mail attachment.

Since I posted this I played two Japanese Baseball games for the PS2, "Nechu 2002" from Namco and "The Baseball 2002" from Konami. Both are pretty good. The player models, stances and stadiums are very nice.

So do I. I have Namco's Necchu Pro Yakyu for PS2 and it looks pretty good. It's just that there aren't that many different hitting/pitching styles for customized original player.

For SNES Japanese baseball roms, go to

www.romsxtreme.host.sk/inicio.php?pone
[Admin: This link didn't work for me.]

For a N64 Japanese baseball game POWER LEAGUE 64, go to

www.vipersroms.cjb.net
[Admin: This link appears to rely on securty flaws in IE to load correctly, so I was unable to view it. View at your own risk.]

Thanks

Don't listen to the above man as he knows nothing and I know all. His addresses are duds.

IF YOU WANT BASEBALL FOR SNES, ARCADE (cps2 etc.),Genesis, plus lots more, go here. This is a quality no [nonsense] ROM and emulator site.

[By admin: This one actually checks out as being somewhat reputable. They appear to have been around for a couple of years, and don't appear to be doing anything underhanded with IE (although they do have some IE-only tags) like the above sites.]

I have a PS and PS2. I like to play Namco Worldstadium 5 and Netsu Chu pro Yakyu. WS5 is a very nice game, the players have big heads, so not very realistic.
Netsu Chu is a very realistic baseball game.

Does anyone know where I could get these games in the US? I really want to play Necchu! Pro Baseball 2002 but I have no way of getting it here in NJ...
