Benny Agbayani
Hi, I am an American who is a big Benny fan. I have liked him since the Mets and the Cubs began the MLB season a couple of years ago in Japan. Does anyone know how he is doing stats wise?

Benny's doing a fine job, helping lead the Marines to a great start in the Pacific. Agbayani's at .312/.365/.545 as of June 14. He's 2nd in the Pacific League in RBIs, 5th in slugging, 8th in average, and tied for the lead in doubles. He's played every outfield position as well as DH. Lately he seems to be seeing more time in center.

Benny is mirroring his last AAA season before joining the Mets. Seems he can do the job in AAA or high AAA, but not the biggy league. Plus, he can't count past two when it comes to outs. But he is the pride of the 50th state. Nduncle [stet] Bobby V. likes him because he makes him laugh.

Though Abgayani's major league performance with the Mets was well capable of a major league job, he had an overall career average of .274 (299-1091) with 39 HR and 156 RBI [Baseball-Reference]. While these aren't superstar numbers, they are well capable of holding a major league starting job and are consistent numbers.
