Warren Cromartie

Discussion in the Open Talk forum
Warren Cromartie
There is an article in the weekly tabloid Flash that talks about Warren Cromartie and his desire to get back into Japanese baseball. It says that the Cro-man is bankrupt and is only doing some measly radio talk show back in Miami so he desperatley wants to work for the Yomiuri Giants.

Let me see if I get this straight. First of all, he rips Tatsunori Hara to shreds in his book and now he wants to work for him?

Here is a guy who went into detail (almost bragging) about his infidleity in his book and as a result of his indiscretion he's divorced and presumably up to his neck with alimony payments.

He also started up 2 different business (one was a toothbrush company-the toothbrush was shaped like a baseball bat) and failed both times.

You can just see the desperation on this man's face whenever he appears on T.V. He and Randy Bass both ripped Japan and Japanese baseball while they were here and now they both jump at every opportunity to come back here in order to fatten their wallets.

As for me, I'm not buying Cromartie's act. I once met him when I was about 13 years old and he was at his peak with the Giants. He grudgingly gave me his autograph but he acted all huffy and left me with bad memories. He was just an egomaniac who did everything for money. Cro, please stay in Miami and leave Japanese baseball alone. The Giants are doing just fine without you and no one wants to see you back in Japan.

I know what you mean. Cromartie's always been a loser. His lackadaisical play in centerfield cost the Giants the '87 Japan Series. He claims that his speech fired up the Giants in the '89 Japan Series when the Giants were down 3 games to none against the Buffaloes and inspired the Giants to win 4 straight to win the Series, but I think we all know that the Buffaloes just choked, plain and simple.

It looks like Mr. Cromartie's going to suit up for the Sapporo team in the Masters League come fall. This guy will do absolutely anything for money....
