Valentino Pascucci

Discussion in the Open Talk forum
Valentino Pascucci
Reading the daily Comments on Japanese Baseball Daily, it seems the writer doesn't like Pascucci taking a walk, even when he scores after doing this. It looks like he doesn't like him at all. I guess who ever writes this column doesn't believe in on base percentages and hitters being patient. The kid, when he plays on a daily basis, always produced. Lately he's been playing regularly and producing. He needs the playing time as he's not someone who can come off the bench cold.

I didn't like him for a long time because he was batting under .200, he's slow, and his huge strike zone got him struck out more often than he would foul it off. But recently, he has been awesome at the bat (hat tip to Mr. Pascucci).

By the way, can we get a link to this article?

There's no such article. Garland-san just doesn't like the type of player Pascucci is. He just doesn't flat out have an article that says he doesn't like Pascucci. The fact is he strikes out too much.
